Tina completed a double major at Massey University, a BBS majoring in Accounting and a BA majoring in Maori. Tina has experience in auditing, tax & business services and management consultancy; she also has vast experience in business development & financial management training. In 1996, Tina assisted in establishing a Maori-owned chartered accountancy practice, Parearau Chartered Accountants, where she held a senior management role. She also held the position of Managing Director for Parearau Training Limited from 1998 to October 2000.

Tina is currently the Managing Director of Tem Corp Ltd, which provides accounting and business management services to Maori organisations. She is the in-house contract accountant with TMG and also provides other business administrational support to the company.
