Ian Waddell

Ian holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration from Victoria University, 1979. He became a Chartered Accountant in 1980 and is a current member of the New Zealand Society of Accountants.

Ian is a registered NZX Broker and has a long history in sharebroking, investment advise, company management and directorships. From 1980 to 1983 Ian was a business advisor with PriceWaterhouse Coopers. In 1984 Ian was a sharebroker and Private Client Advisor with Francis Allison Symes.

From 1985 to 1988 Ian was a sharebroker and Director (20% Shareholder) with Mouat Bolland & Co / Buttle Wilson in Wellington.

From 1988 to 1989 was with Institutional Sales department of Ord Minnett Securities Ltd in Sydney.

From 1989 to 1997 Ian was a Director with Hendry 2 Hay McIntosh / Merrill Lynch working as the principal trader in institutional sales. From 1997 to 2000 Ian was Associate Director with Ord Minnett Securities Ltd working in institutional sales.

From 2000 to 2003 a managing principal with Macquarie Equities NZ Ltd and an Associate Director Macquarie Bank Ltd.

From 2004 Ian established and built up a share broking firm WJM. In 2008 WJM was sold to McDouall Stuart and Ian remained as Head of Sharebroking.
