Brett has a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration from Victoria University
– majoring in Maori Business.

Brett has been involved in NZ Financial Markets since 1984 working for AMP Financial Corp, and as a Money Market broker for MW Marshalls, and Harlow Butler, before joining ANZ Bank Treasury in 1993. Brett worked as a Senior Dealer for ANZNational Bank for the past 5 years - (formerly ANZ Bank). Brett’s roles included Interest Rate Risk Management and Debt Market Investment advice.
